This year’s report focuses on how unprecedented weather events have challenged the stability of homeownership, inventory, affordability, mortgage rates, and insurance coverage for AANHPI people. It also includes data on migration patterns, consumer preferences, discrimination, and non-climate barriers for AANHPI homebuyers.

Some insights from the report:

  • Asian people account for nearly 6% of the Texas population, with widely spoken languages including Vietnamese and Chinese.
  • Texas continues to rank as one of the top 3 destinations for AANHPI inmigration, due to greater affordability and economic growth.
  • About 1 in 10 Asian adults report experiencing some form of discrimination in their neighborhood.
