In celebration of Fair Housing Month (May) and Homeownership Month (June), Texas REALTORS® is offering you the chance to earn the Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) certification for free!
The TAHS equips you to help first-time and underserved homebuyers as well as increase sustainable homeownership in Texas. And you can earn the certification if you complete these two, 6-hour classes.
Course 1: United Texas Homebuyer Financing Resources
May 29, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This course discusses a variety of financing options that can assist your customers and clients in their homebuying decisions. Financing resources include local, state, federal, and nonprofit assistance programs for buyers and renters.
Course 2: Defining and Marketing Workforce Housing
June 5, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Approximately one-third of potential homebuyers in Texas are first-time homebuyers. Learn to identify and explain workforce housing to clients and how you can help them explore the opportunities and the benefits.
I am excited about these classes being offered to help Texas REALTORS® elevate their business with the Texas Affordable Housing Specialist Certification.
Thank you so much for offering this free certification!
Awesome! Thanks!
Love this
This is great!!! Will this be offered again? I’m not able to attend on these dates.
Hello, is it online or in person class? Also I’m able to take June 5th class but cannot take May 29th one. When are you going to offer this one again?
This is a great opportunity, that I need so much. Wished that it was available on the weekend or night classes.
Thank you for the free classes!! I, too, cannot attend this week’s class but I will attend the June class. Even if I can’t obtain a certification, I’m grateful for the education.
Would love for these classes to be offered again !
I was unable to attend the class on May 29th, and I am having minor surgery on June 5th. Is it possible that Texas REALTORS will repeat these classes, even if a fee will need to be paid?
I’m excited about this class.
I’m sorry I missed this, how do we get notified of such things?
