REALTOR® Day 2025 Recap

Last week, over 3,000 REALTORS® from all corners of Texas gathered at the Capitol in Austin for an incredible advocacy day. The atmosphere buzzed with energy as members connected, networked, and met with elected officials to chat about key issues affecting real estate, businesses, and property owners.

It was truly inspiring to see so many dedicated professionals come together, demonstrating the strong commitment of Texas REALTORS® to shaping policies that benefit communities and the real estate industry statewide.

Make Your Voice Heard on May 3

Many cities and school districts have important local elections on May 3. These elections have tremendous impact on your community and your business. Turnout is usually low—every vote matters!

  • 1,853: Total number of hours that members serving on the Texas REALTORS® Public Policy Oversight Committee studied issues and reviewed member input to establish Texas REALTORS® priorities for this legislative session.
  • 740: Number of interactions between Texas REALTORS® and elected officials at the Capitol in the run-up and first two months of the current session of the Texas Legislature.
  • 9,847: Number of bills filed during this session that Texas REALTORS® has reviewed.
  • 1,341: Number of bills the association is closely tracking, supporting 145 and opposing 105 right now.

Advocacy Corner: Building Strong Communities

You don’t need your legislators’ numbers on speed dial to advocate for real estate. Write a quick note to your state representative and senator that says, “A strong housing and commercial market fuels thriving communities. Thank you for your role in making that happen!”
Include key stats on home sales, taxes, and market trends in your area (with sources). And don’t forget to mention you’re a member of Texas REALTORS®!
